Foldable Drag Litter Stretcher

A flat-folding casualty platform that stores at 18 × 10 × 1.5 in. and opens to a 78 × 18 in. stretcher with a rigid ABS underside that slides across ground instead of snagging in it. Four G-hook straps secure the casualty, eight handles spread a team carry, and a dedicated head-end drag loop lets one rescuer move a secured patient. 5.9 lb, wipe-clean rubberised top, and a manufacturer-stated 300 lb maximum load.

The 300 lb maximum load is reproduced exactly as 6:8 Medical Solutions states it — not rounded, not converted, and not restated as a tested figure. It is a real ceiling: it covers most adult casualties but not a large patient in body armour or structural firefighting gear, and not bariatric transport. Spec a higher-rated rigid platform for those profiles. This stretcher provides no spinal immobilisation. The manufacturer states plainly that it is a transport and extraction platform, not a substitute for a long spine board, a vacuum mattress, or your agency's spinal-motion-restriction protocol; the rigid base is a supportive non-conforming surface and nothing more.

Tactical medics and TEMS needing a rigid-base extraction platform that fits in the vehicle they arrived in · EMS and rescue task force elements moving casualties to a collection point without waiting on a stair chair or long board · Search and rescue and disaster response on uneven ground where wheels do not work · Preparedness and field caches in schools, stadiums, worksites and range boxes, where flat storage is what makes stocking several units realistic.

The trade against a soft poleless litter is a few pounds for a base that slides. A fabric drag sheet conforms to the ground and transmits every rock into the patient; a rigid underside carries the load over the terrain instead. The trade against a full rigid litter is load rating and two-person carry ergonomics, in exchange for a platform that actually lives in the trunk rather than on apparatus that may not be on scene.

Two operating notes. Run all four G-hook straps before dragging, and pull along the long axis so the load tracks straight instead of yawing. And decontaminate the rubberised top under your own bloodborne-pathogen policy — the surface is non-porous and wipes down, but contact time and documentation are your agency's call, not the product's.
