What is the MED-TAC Custom Trauma Kit? MED-TAC International’s curated gunshot and trauma IFAK, built on the Lightning X LXPB35 spread-eagle MOLLE pouch. This is the kit with our strongest hemorrhage-control component set: an NAR C-A-T® Gen 7 tourniquet, genuine QuikClot® Combat Gauze (Z-folded, 3″ × 4 yd), and an NAR HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack. Why this kit over the Premium Trauma IFAK: The Custom Trauma Kit carries the better bleeding-control components — true QuikClot® Combat Gauze rather than a shorter hemostatic dressing, and a vented twin-pack chest seal rather than a single seal. If massive hemorrhage and chest trauma are your priority, this is the kit. Choose the Premium Trauma IFAK instead if you need the CPR mask and antiseptic module.

Product Overview
The Custom Trauma Kit is MED-TAC's house-brand IFAK, curated by clinicians who carry these exact tools in professional practice. Every component targets a leading cause of preventable traumatic death: uncontrolled extremity hemorrhage, junctional and truncal bleeding, tension pneumothorax, and airway obstruction.
The hemostatic is genuine QuikClot® Combat Gauze in the full 3″ × 4 yd Z-folded length — enough material to actually pack a deep wound cavity, which shorter hemostatic dressings cannot do. The chest seal is the HyFin® Vent Twin Pack: two seals, because a penetrating chest wound frequently has both an entry and an exit, and vented because CoTCCC guidance favors a vented seal for open chest wounds.
It is built on the Lightning X LXPB35 spread-eagle MOLLE pouch — a quick-access platform whose flap opens 180 degrees to four flat-lying storage panels, supporting one-handed access under stress. Mounts to any MOLLE vest, pack, or vehicle platform. Available in Black, Coyote Tan, and Red; red is a common choice for schools, workplaces, and vehicle kits where rapid identification matters.
Hardware works best with training. Tourniquet application, wound packing, and chest-seal placement are simple skills that become dramatically more effective with a few hours of hands-on instruction.
