Scope note. Two items in this kit sit above lay-responder scope. The nasopharyngeal airway and the suture set are provider-level interventions intended for personnel trained and credentialed for them; the cervical collar assumes training in spinal precautions. Buying the kit does not confer the scope of practice to use every item in it — carry it to the level you are trained and authorized to work at.

However, several items — including the BVM, oropharyngeal airways, nasal airway kit, suture set, and cervical collar — are best utilized by trained responders. The kit is designed primarily for BLS-to-early-ALS level responders: EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, medical preparedness professionals, and trained industrial first aid teams. Non-medically trained users can still use the bleeding control, basic wound care, and bandaging items effectively.
