Celox™ Rapid and Celox™ Gauze are different products with different SKUs, and both hold CoTCCC recommendation — neither substitutes for the other. This bundle contains Celox™ Rapid. Because chitosan works independently of the body's normal clotting cascade, it continues to function in the hypothermic, hemodiluted blood of a severe trauma patient, which is precisely when the cascade itself is failing.

First responders, law enforcement and military carrying a compact packing capability in an IFAK, duty bag or plate carrier · Range and vehicle kits, where the Z-fold gauze and flat-packed dressing keep the bundle small · Trained civilians who want the whole sequence in one pouch rather than assembled from three purchases · Anyone upgrading a kit that has a hemostatic but no shears or gloves.

Working sequence: glove up, cut the clothing clear to find the bleeding site, pack the wound cavity with the Celox™ Rapid and hold firm sustained direct pressure while the chitosan matrix forms a stable clot, then apply the 4-inch ETD over the pack to maintain compression and secure it. Note the time and hand off. These notes are general reference only and are not a substitute for accredited hemorrhage-control training.

What hemostatic agent is included in the Rapid Response Pack?

The Rapid Response Pack (BNDL-HEMO-002) is built around Celox Rapid Hemostatic Gauze — a 3" × 5 ft Z-folded gauze containing 9g of activated Chito-R. Celox Rapid stops severe arterial bleeding with only 60 seconds of compression applied, compared to the 3-minute compression requirement of many alternative hemostatic products.

How does Celox Rapid Hemostatic Gauze work?

Celox Rapid features Chito-R, an activated chitosan derivative that forms a strong adhesive gel on contact with blood. This gel seals the wound and bonds to wound tissue, enabling hemostasis within 60 seconds of compression. Unlike older-generation hemostatic agents, Celox Rapid generates no exothermic heat on application, improving patient comfort and tissue safety.

Is the Rapid Response Pack suitable for law enforcement and tactical use?

Yes. The Rapid Response Pack is tagged for both Bleeding Control and Tactical-LE use.
