SnakeStaff Snakeskin PRO

A low-profile elastic carrier for the SnakeStaff ETQ tourniquet. An integral Tegris belt loop takes it inside or outside the waistband on belts up to 1.5 in., MOLLE mounts it to a plate carrier, battle belt or vehicle, and the sleeve has room for a spare compact magazine, a multitool or a small light. Tourniquet sold separately.

Version selects the sleeve width, not the tourniquet. Match it to the ETQ you already carry: 1.0 in. conceals best, 1.5 in. suits belt and sling carry.

This is carriage, not treatment. The Snakeskin PRO holds a tourniquet; it does not replace one, and it does not include one. Many services back an everyday-carry tourniquet with a CoTCCC-recommended primary such as the C-A-T® on the duty rig or in the vehicle kit.

What tourniquet does the Snakeskin PRO fit?

The Snakeskin PRO is designed specifically for the SnakeStaff ETQ (Elastic Tourniquet) Gen 1 and Gen 2, available in Standard Width (1.0 inch) and Wide Width (1.5 inch) versions. The sleeve must match the width of your ETQ — order the Standard version for the standard 1.0-inch ETQ and the Wide version for the 1.5-inch Wide ETQ. The Snakeskin PRO is not designed for the C-A-T® Gen 7 or SOFTT-W tourniquet. Does the base Snakeskin PRO include the belt clip?

No. The base Snakeskin PRO model includes the elastic sleeve with integral Tegris OWB belt loop, but the Discreet Carry Clip (DCC) hardware kit that enables IWB pocket-clip carry is not included. You must select 'Add Clip Hardware Kit' from the product drop-down at checkout if you want clip-based carry. If you already own SnakeStaff DCC clips from a previous purchase, you do not need to add the kit again.

Can the Snakeskin PRO attach to a MOLLE plate carrier?

Yes. The Snakeskin PRO can be attached to MOLLE webbing on plate carriers, tactical belts, and inside vehicles. The integral Tegris belt loop passes through standard MOLLE channels and provides a secure, stable attachment point. For belt carry without MOLLE, the Tegris loop fits OWB on belts up to 1.5 inches wide. For IWB carry, the optional DCC Clip hardware kit provides a discreet pocket-clip mounting solution.

What is Tegris and why is it used for the belt loop?

Tegris is a thermoplastic composite material made from polypropylene fibers. It is lightweight but significantly stiffer and more impact-resistant than standard nylon webbing, offering the structural rigidity needed for a durable belt loop without the weight of aluminum or polymer hardware. SnakeStaff Systems uses Tegris for the integral OWB belt loop on the Snakeskin PRO to provide a rigid, low-profile mounting surface that maintains its shape through heat, cold, and physical stress typical of tactical and everyday carry environments.

Should I choose the Standard Width or Wide Width ETQ version of the Snakeskin PRO?

Choose the version that matches the width of your SnakeStaff ETQ tourniquet. The Standard Width (1.0 in.) is the slimmest and most concealable option, ideal for pocket carry or situations where minimal profile is the priority. The Wide Width (1.5 in.) offers better pressure distribution over a larger limb contact area and is recommended by SnakeStaff Systems when attempting to mount to belts or slings. The Wide version's strap width is comparable to the C-A-T® Gen 7, so users transitioning from a standard combat tourniquet may find the Wide more familiar in terms of application.
