The CoTCCC recommended device from this family is the SOF® Tactical Tourniquet Wide (SOF-T Wide); this listing names only a “SOF® Tourniquet” without stating the variant, and the earlier narrow SOFTT is a different device. Ask the vendor to confirm the exact model if a named device is required by your policy — for most buyers this will be the Wide. Two other things. There is no hemostatic dressing in the kit: the gauze is plain packing gauze, which is a reasonable choice for a cabinet a bystander opens, since hemostatic gauze rewards training most cabinet users will not have. And this is a companion, not a station: the AED cabinet and the AED itself are sold separately, and the kit's value depends on it actually being placed inside one. No. The TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED Kit (SKU 83-0067) is the hemorrhage control kit only — designed to be mounted inside an existing or new AED wall cabinet. It is compatible with standard ZOLL and Philips AED cabinet configurations. The AED and cabinet are sold separately at MED-TAC International.

Is the SOF® Tourniquet in this kit the same as sold individually?

Yes. The SOF® Tourniquet included in the TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED Kit is the identical product manufactured by Tactical Medical Solutions — the same windlass tourniquet designated as the official tourniquet of the American Red Cross®. It features the same 1.5-inch reinforced polyester strap, aircraft-grade aluminum windlass, and Tri-Ring Lock™ system.

Can this kit be restocked after use?

Yes. All components in the TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED Kit are individually available at MED-TAC International — SOF® Tourniquet, Compact Trauma Bandage®, Compressed Gauze, and nitrile gloves can each be purchased separately to restock the kit after use. This allows the waterproof pouch and cabinet installation to remain in place while only consumable components are replaced.

Will the Stop the Bleed® AED Kit fit inside a standard AED wall cabinet?

Yes. The kit is packaged in a compact resealable waterproof pouch sized to fit inside standard AED cabinet enclosures alongside common AED units. Compatible configurations include ZOLL and Philips cabinet models. The AED wall cabinet itself is not included — kit only.
