It also works as a secondary or forward-echelon grab bag alongside a larger platform — the 18 stays on the medic during movement while a Pack 38 rides in the vehicle or at the ORP. The plate-carrier adapter lets the same pack run slick on a carrier for vehicle and CQB work.

CAT Gen 7 Tourniquet — a genuine North American Rescue limb tourniquet for the lateral staging loops. CoTCCC-recommended.

QuikClot Combat Gauze — hemostatic gauze for wound packing. CoTCCC-recommended.

MOLLE pouches — external capacity on the laser-cut attachment surface, for IFAKs, tourniquet holders and speciality medical pouches. The webbing accepts standard 1 in. and 1.5 in. MOLLE pouches.

Load to your own protocol. For a one-to-two casualty contact load — tourniquet sets, chest seals, hemostatic gauze, airways, IV/IO and medications — 18 litres is the right tier; multi-patient or extended operations call for the larger Modular Medic Pack 38.
