Will the Trooper SA3100 panels stop rifle rounds?

No — Level IIIA soft armor is rated for handgun threats only, including .357 SIG, .44 Magnum, 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 Magnum. The SA3100 does not provide protection against rifle calibers such as 5.56mm, 7.62mm, or similar intermediate and full-power rifle rounds. For rifle-level protection, hard armor plates (Level III, III+, or IV) must be used, either standalone or in combination with soft armor panels.

What is the warranty on the SA3100 soft armor panels?

Chase Tactical provides a 5-year warranty covering all ballistic materials in the SA3100 panels. The exterior cover material and workmanship are covered under a separate 1-year warranty. Both warranties apply from the date of original purchase. Panels should be inspected periodically for cover damage, delamination, or contamination that could compromise ballistic performance. Panels that have been struck by a ballistic threat should be removed from service and replaced regardless of visible damage.

Can the SA3100 panels be used in plate carriers other than Chase Tactical models?

Yes — while the SA3100 panels are specifically designed for the Chase Tactical ACAP-RESCUE and CAP-RESCUE carriers, they will fit a variety of other plate carriers with appropriately sized soft armor pockets. As a set, the panels share the same dimensions across front and rear. Verify the interior pocket dimensions of your specific plate carrier against the panel size before ordering to ensure proper fit and retention.
