TrueClot Basic Packing Trainer — Gunshot Wound (BPT GSW)

A 9 oz silicone packing trainer with a large-caliber gunshot exit wound that takes up to 12 feet of gauze, on a 4-inch non-slip base that stays put on a table. Run it dry for clean classroom repetitions, or fill it with TrueClot Blood Simulant when the class needs the mess. Light and Dark skin tones, each with its own item number and NSN eligibility.

The value of a dry trainer is throughput. A class that runs wet spends as much time cleaning as packing; a class that runs dry gets three times the repetitions in the same hour. Use the dry configuration to build the motion, then run one wet iteration per student so they have seen what a bleeding wound does to their view of the cavity. Budget gauze separately — a 12 ft cavity consumes it fast.
