TrueClot Inguinal Packing Trainer (IPT)

A wearable junctional-hemorrhage trainer for the wound a limb tourniquet cannot reach. Worn by a role-player or mounted on a manikin, it takes a full 12 ft strip of simulated hemostatic dressing and drives students to pack an inguinal bleed properly. This is a trainer. The gauze supplied with it and the dressings it is designed to be packed with are simulated, inert training articles — they are not hemostatic dressings, they are not evidence-based standard, and nothing in this kit is for use on a person. Junctional-tourniquet compatibility is stated by TrueClot for manikin-mounted use only, not for wear on a live role-player.

TCCC, TECC and TACMED instructors teaching junctional hemorrhage control, where a limb tourniquet is not the answer and the student has to commit to packing · Military and law-enforcement medical training units running care-under-fire and tactical-field-care lanes with live role-players · Paramedic and EMS programs adding a junctional station to a wound-packing rotation · Simulation labs pairing the trainer with a manikin for junctional-tourniquet practice.

Two cautions worth stating plainly. The trainer is worn on a person, so brief role-players on fit, comfort and how hard students will be pressing before a lane runs hot. And junctional-tourniquet application is only rated by TrueClot for manikin-mounted use — do not apply a junctional tourniquet over the trainer while a person is wearing it.
