Does the convertible mounting system require any tools or removal of supplies?

No tools are required and no supplies need to be removed. The Convertible Drop Leg Kit uses integrated mounting hardware that allows the operator to detach the leg straps and attach the rear MOLLE panel to a vest or plate carrier (or vice versa) with the kit fully loaded. The conversion is designed to be completed in the field between mission phases.

What is the OLAES® Modular Bandage and why are two sizes included?

The OLAES® (Operational Local Anesthetic Elastic Splint) bandage is a multi-function dressing manufactured by Tactical Medical Solutions that combines an elastic pressure wrap, an occlusive insert for chest wounds, and enough elastic length to serve as an improvised tourniquet. The 4-inch version is suited for most extremity wounds and smaller lacerations; the 6-inch version handles larger truncal wounds and provides more circumferential pressure for larger-diameter limbs. Having both sizes in one kit covers the full range of wound presentations without requiring the provider to improvise.

What is the BLAST® Bandage and when is it used?

The BLAST® Bandage is a large-surface emergency trauma dressing designed for blast, shrapnel, and large-area wounds that exceed what a standard 4-inch or 6-inch pressure dressing can cover. It is particularly useful for abdominal evisceration, junctional wounds at the groin or axilla, and large soft-tissue injuries. The BLAST® is included in the TacMed Drop Leg Kit to extend wound-coverage capability beyond what OLAES® bandages alone can address.

Which color options are available and do all colors come in both Basic and Advanced?

The Convertible Drop Leg Kit is available in Black, Coyote Tan, Olive Drab, and Multicam. All four color options are available in both the Basic configuration (SKUs DLB-B, DLB-T, DLB-G, DLB-MC) and the Advanced configuration (DLA-B, DLA-T, DLA-G, DLA-MC). The Advanced configuration requires licensed-provider authorization prior to fulfillment due to the included TPAK 14G needle decompression device.
