EDC Ankle Trauma Kit

A flat wound-packing and dressing kit sized to ride at the ankle under a trouser leg. Built for plainclothes officers, detectives and armed citizens who cannot wear a visible medical pouch but still want packing and pressure capability on their person every day.

Read the contents honestly before you buy: this is a packing-and-dressing kit. There is no tourniquet in either variant, and no chest seal. It is at its best worn alongside a tourniquet you carry on your person — the ankle kit handles the wounds a tourniquet cannot, not the ones it can.

Are the contents of the EDC Ankle Trauma Kit CoTCCC-recommended?

Yes. The C-A-T® is the CoTCCC-recommended #1 tourniquet. HyFin® Vent Compact Chest Seal Twin Pack is CoTCCC-recommended for penetrating chest wounds. The wound packing gauze is a standard TCCC hemostatic dressing.

What training is required to use the EDC Ankle Trauma Kit?

At minimum, users should complete a Stop the Bleed® course for tourniquet and pressure dressing. The HyFin® chest seal requires TECC or TCCC-level training for correct application (vented vs. non-vented recognition, seal placement). Users carrying for self-defense should complete a TCCC or TECC Responder course.

Can I build a custom content loadout in the EDC Ankle Trauma Holster?

Yes. The EDC Ankle Trauma Holster is also available separately (85-0164) for custom kit building. All NAR EDC components are available individually at tactical-medicine.com.
