VIEW ▾Blue — read this before ordering — live-versus-trainer status unresolved

CONFIRM BEFORE YOU CARRY THIS ONE. The blue option in two ways that cannot both be true: As a "functionally identical device", and as a "training indicator" used "to distinguish non-live tourniquets in training environments". Blue is the conventional colour for inert trainer tourniquets across this industry, and a trainer is not a casualty-care device.
This page therefore makes NO claim about whether the blue unit is a live SOF®TT-Wide or an inert trainer, and carries NO CoTCCC annotation on this option. A trainer is never CoTCCC-recommended, even when the live product is.
Before this option goes on a duty belt, in an IFAK, or into any kit intended for real casualties, confirm with Tactical Medical Solutions or with MED-TAC which device the blue variant ships. If you are buying deliberately for training, that is exactly what a blue tourniquet is usually for.

The recommendation belongs to the SOF®T Wide, not to every device wearing the SOF®T name — an earlier-generation SOF®T is a different tourniquet and does not carry it. The annotation is applied here only because the listing names the SOF®TT-Wide explicitly and supplies its NSN. It is deliberately withheld from the Blue option, where the source contradicts itself about whether the device is live or a trainer. Two further things were not carried over. The legacy page stated the tourniquet "achieves arterial occlusion in both upper and lower extremities" and cited documented use across U.S. Military branches, SWAT teams and international special operations forces; those are performance and adoption claims made in the store's voice without a named source, and they are not reproduced. No application pressure, no time limit and no application procedure appears on this page, because none was attributed on the legacy listing — take those from the tourniquet's own instructions and from your current TCCC card, and note the two may differ. Scope and training. Tourniquet application is a bleeding-control skill taught in TCCC, TECC and public bleeding-control courses, and is within the scope of trained bystanders and responders in most jurisdictions. The device does not train you and the case does not either — the case is worth buying precisely because it makes one specific motion repeatable, and a motion is only repeatable if you have practised it on the belt you actually wear, in the orientation you actually mounted it. Practise with a trainer, not with the unit you intend to use on a casualty. If you ordered the Blue option, resolve its live-versus-trainer status before you decide which of those two roles it is filling.

How does the Eleven-10® RIGID TQ Case deploy the tourniquet?

The RIGID TQ Case holds the SOF®TT-Wide by friction, with the tourniquet's upper portion exposed above the case opening to provide a grip point. Deployment requires a single firm pull — no closures, straps, buckles, or snaps to operate. This gross motor skill deployment works with gloves on, in wet or bloody conditions, and under the physiological stress response that impairs fine motor skills. A drainage hole at the base of the case prevents water accumulation after submersion.

Can the Eleven-10® RIGID TQ Case hold other tourniquets besides the SOF®TT-Wide?

The Eleven-10® RIGID TQ Case for SOF is specifically designed for the SOF®TT and SOF®TT-Wide tourniquets. Eleven-10® manufactures separate RIGID TQ Case versions for the CAT Gen 7 and other tourniquet models — these are different products with different interior dimensions and are not interchangeable. The combo included here contains the correct case version matched to the SOF®TT-Wide.

What do the different tourniquet colors indicate in this combo?

All five color options (Black, Orange, Red, Coyote Tan, Blue) are functionally identical SOF®TT-Wide tourniquets — color does not affect performance. Black is preferred for tactical/operational duty where low visual signature matters. Orange provides high visibility for rapid identification during emergencies and training. Red is standard for EMS and emergency services color coding. Coyote Tan matches desert-environment military gear palettes. Blue is conventionally used as a training indicator to distinguish non-live practice tourniquets from operational ones.
