No item in this kit carries CoTCCC recommendation status; the fill contains no CoTCCC-listed device. BRAVO adds assessment and airway, not hemorrhage control — there is still no tourniquet, no hemostatic dressing and no chest seal, and that capability starts at the CHARLIE tier. Four things to check before ordering. The stated weights in this series do not add up: ALPHA is listed at 7 lb and BRAVO, which contains everything in ALPHA plus four more items, is listed at 4 lb. One of the two figures is wrong and the assembler should confirm which, so treat the weight above as unverified. The OPA kit is a provider-level item — an oropharyngeal airway is only for an unresponsive casualty with no gag reflex, and placing one is a trained skill governed by scope of practice, so an organisation buying BRAVO should be clear who is authorised to use it. The BP cuff is adult size only; a service that sees paediatric or bariatric patients needs additional cuffs. And the ALPHA baseline items carry their own caveats — four exam gloves for the whole kit, an OTC block that must sit inside a local protocol, and ten ammonia inhalant ampules whose routine use for syncope is no longer supported by current guidance. Does the BRAVO kit include a tourniquet?

No. The BRAVO kit does not include a tourniquet. Tourniquet and hemostatic wound packing capability is added starting with the CHARLIE kit in the MED-TAC series. For emergency response environments where traumatic bleeding is a risk, consider the CHARLIE or higher-tier kits, or add a C-A-T® Tourniquet separately from MED-TAC's hemorrhage control collection.

Can the BRAVO kit fill the MED-TAC First Response Backpack?

Yes. All MED-TAC fill kits are designed to work as standalone kits or as fill kits for MED-TAC bag systems. The BRAVO can be used to stock or restock the LXMB45 First Response Backpack or the Modular ALS Bag, as well as any compatible third-party EMS or first aid bag.
