A standard elastic wrap slips, unravels, and loosens the moment a patient moves — and there’s a real gap between a basic stretch wrap and a windlass tourniquet for the many bleeds that need firm pressure but not full arterial occlusion.
Between a loose Ace wrap and a full tourniquet, what holds firm pressure on a limb and stays put?
The SPW fills that gap. The red slip sleeve slides into a lasso you drop over the limb and pull tight in one motion, setting the pressure; from there you spiral the elastic down the limb and each hook-and-loop tab tacks the wrap so it can’t unwind. Tension is finely adjustable — broad and light for a pressure dressing, narrow and firm for high compression — and a label field captures the application time.
Built To Hold
Slip-Sleeve Cinch
A lasso that slides and locks lets you loop and tighten in one motion, even one-handed.
Locking Hook-And-Loop Tabs
Spaced tabs bite at each turn so the wrap can’t unravel under movement.
Ultralight 1 oz
A 4 × 1.6 × 1″ footprint adds almost nothing to an IFAK, go-bag, or pocket.
Conforms To Any Limb
Adjustable on adults, children, and K9 patients alike.
Time-Marking Label
A white label field captures the application time, mirroring tourniquet documentation.
Multi-Use Tension
Light for a dressing, firm for compression, intermediate for hematoma control or splint securing.
Scope note. The Slishman Pressure Wrap is a pressure / compression wrap, not a CoTCCC-recommended limb tourniquet. For definitive control of arterial limb hemorrhage, a windlass tourniquet such as the C-A-T® Gen 7 or SOF-T® remains the primary device. Use the SPW for pressure dressings, compression, and as an adjustable adjunct.
Where It Fits
The SPW lives between the elastic wrap and the tourniquet. It applies firmer, more reliable, better-locked pressure than an Ace wrap for the large category of bleeds that don’t need a windlass — and it does it fast, one-handed, and without unraveling. Carry it alongside a tourniquet, not instead of one, and you cover the full spectrum from minor laceration to firm compression.
Who Carries It
EMS & First Responders — a fast, locking pressure dressing for the bag or the truck.
Tactical & LE Medics — an ultralight compression adjunct that won’t unravel under movement.
K9 & Working-Dog Handlers — conforms to a canine limb where a rigid TQ won’t fit.
Prepared Civilians & Range — the everyday pressure wrap to pair with a tourniquet.
