North American Rescue · USN Submarine EMAT Kit
MARINER Response Kit
North American Rescue's casualty-response bag for U.S. Submarine Forces, built to the Emergency Medical Assist Team requirement. High-visibility orange with reflective trim so it stays findable in smoke, low light or flooding; 1000-denier nylon with silent sand- and water-resistant zippers; 4 lb 6.5 oz. The loadout runs past basic TCCC into IV access for the days-long window before a surface MEDEVAC.

On a submarine, resupply is not coming and the nearest surgeon may be days away. That is a different problem from a ten-minute ambulance ride, and it is why this bag carries saline locks.

An EMAT kit lives or dies on grab-and-go familiarity: the fixed layout means retrieval becomes reflex rather than search in a flooded or smoke-filled compartment. Standardize the loadout across the team and rehearse it, or the layout advantage is wasted.

Who Carries It

U.S. Navy Submarine Forces EMAT — the standard casualty-response bag for emergency medical assist teams, and the specification this kit was built to · Shipboard and maritime medics providing full-spectrum care where the next surgical capability is over the horizon · Expeditionary and austere teams working to prolonged-field-care timelines · Maritime search and rescue, where high-visibility orange is a functional requirement rather than a styling choice.

Nasopharyngeal airway insertion and saline-lock placement are provider-scope skills. Deploy those components only within your training and scope of practice; the hemorrhage and chest-seal contents are within the reach of any trained responder.
