What It Is
NFPA 3000™ — Standard for an Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response Program — defines the equipment and training requirements for organizations responding to hostile events. The CERS – Mass Casualty is built to meet and exceed the highest-tier response capability by integrating Level IIIA personal armor, immediate-access tourniquet dispensing, individual medical kit capability, and warm-zone mass-casualty capacity into a single pre-configured system — eliminating the coordination complexity of assembling compatible components from multiple vendors.
The Warm Zone ARK component supplies hemorrhage-control and chest-injury treatment for up to eight casualties, plus two poleless litters for movement, giving a single operator a deployable mass-casualty cache. The individual kit and tourniquet dispenser keep the operator’s own self- and buddy-care supplies immediately on the carrier, separate from the throw-kit cache intended for casualty distribution.
