What It Is
Cardiac arrest and life-threatening hemorrhage are the two most time-critical emergencies requiring bystander intervention. AED cabinets address cardiac arrest — but in many mass-casualty incidents, active-shooter events, and trauma emergencies, life-threatening hemorrhage kills first. Staging a hemorrhage-control kit alongside an AED in the same cabinet creates a comprehensive public-safety station that addresses both threats.
This kit is engineered for that application. It contains the minimum necessary components for effective bystander hemorrhage control: the SOF® Tourniquet (CoTCCC-recommended, designed for one-handed self-application), a Compact Trauma Bandage® for wound coverage and pressure, compressed gauze for wound packing where a tourniquet does not apply, and a pair of nitrile gloves for rescuer protection.
The entire kit is sealed in a resealable waterproof pouch that maintains component protection. The compact form factor fits inside standard AED wall cabinets alongside common AED models without requiring a separate storage solution. Note: AED cabinet is not included with this kit.
