The HEMGUARD® Targeted Pressure Bandage
A pressure bandage built for the wound sites where circumferential wrapping fails — neck, axilla, groin, and amputation stumps — combining 4-way anchoring, two-direction mechanical advantage, and a targeted pressure head.
What is the HEMGUARD®? The only pressure bandage that delivers four distinct capabilities in a single product: problematic-site bandaging, 4-way anchoring redirection, mechanical advantage in two directions, and a targeted pressure head that helps prevent rebleed and circumferential-constriction complications. Available in 4 in and 6 in widths, FDA listed and CE marked — designed for neck, axillary, groin, and amputated-limb wound management.

The Four Key Features
- Problematic-site solution: designed for anatomically challenging sites — neck, axilla, groin, and amputated-limb stumps — where traditional bandages struggle to achieve or maintain adequate pressure.
- 4-way redirection: anchors in up to four directions, enabling consistent focused point pressure where linear wrapping is difficult.
- Mechanical advantage: applies leveraged compression in two directions, maximizing pressure with minimal provider effort.
- Targeted pressure head: the integrated Popp Point Pressure™ head concentrates force onto the bleeding source, helping prevent rebleed while avoiding circumferential-constriction complications.
What It Is
The HEMGUARD® is the bandage component of 6:8 Medical Solutions’ Popp Point Pressure™ system, developed for wound sites where conventional pressure bandages fall short. Elastic and Israeli-type dressings excel at extremity wounds because circumferential wrapping is possible. At junctional sites — axilla, groin, neck, stump — circumferential wrapping either cannot be achieved or creates dangerous constriction risk. The HEMGUARD addresses this with a targeted pressure head that delivers downward force onto the wound while the 4-way anchoring system holds the bandage in position without full circumferential wrapping. No other pressure bandage on the market combines these four capabilities in a single device.
The mechanical advantage built into the design lets a provider achieve and maintain clinically meaningful wound pressure with less physical effort than manually holding an improvised dressing — valuable during extended evacuation, multi-patient care, or single-provider scenarios. The 5-year shelf life and compact packaged size (4.5 in × 9.75 in × 1.5 in) suit IFAK and plate-carrier integration.
