PRODUCT INFORMATION
Tactical Medical Solutions · Standoff Casualty Kit
TacMed™ Casualty Throw Kit
Built for the casualty you cannot reach. 14.2 oz in an 8 × 6 in. package that can be thrown, slid or kicked across a gap, around a corner or through a threat zone, carrying a CoTCCC-recommended SOF Tactical Tourniquet-Wide, a Control Wrap, packing gauze, a hypothermia blanket and a bi-lingual card that lets an untrained person work the sequence themselves.
Throw or slide to casualtySOF-T Wide tourniquetBi-lingual instruction card14.2 oz · 8 × 6 in.

Deliberately simple. Everything in it is something a frightened, untrained person can apply correctly from an illustrated card — which is why there is no airway adjunct and no chest seal.

Kit Contents

One configuration, seven line items — the intervention supplies first, then the items that keep the casualty alive and findable until someone can reach them. Tap a section.

VIEW ▾Hemorrhage Control — what the casualty applies
  • 1× SOF® Tactical Tourniquet-Wide · CoTCCC-recommended · primary extremity tourniquet
  • 1× Control Wrap, 4 in. · pressure bandage; anti-unroll brake resists the application errors a standard elastic bandage invites under stress
  • 1× Krinkle gauze · wound packing
  • 1× Surgical tape, 2 in.
VIEW ▾Survival & Location — surviving the wait and being found
  • 1× Emergency blanket · hypothermia prevention through a prolonged wait for extrication
  • 1× Bi-lingual instruction card, English and Spanish · illustrated step-by-step; the kit is designed around this card
  • 1× Casualty marker panel · high-visibility marker so evacuation teams find a casualty behind a barrier or in a corridor

CoTCCC recommendation applies to the SOF® Tactical Tourniquet-Wide. It does not extend to the Control Wrap, the gauze, the blanket or the marker panel. The absence of an airway adjunct or a chest seal is a design decision, not an oversight: this kit is meant to be handed to someone with no training, and a nasopharyngeal airway or a decompression needle in untrained hands is a hazard rather than a capability. It complements the operator's own IFAK rather than replacing it. One data conflict worth resolving: the source page gives two different SKUs for this product — MEDTAC0420 in the specification table and ARK-CTK further down — so neither has been printed here. Confirm the part number before a purchase order.

Who Carries It

SWAT and patrol officers starting hemorrhage control on a casualty they cannot safely approach · Rescue Task Force and warm-zone crews staging kits at a casualty collection point and handing them to the ambulatory wounded while providers work the critical patients · Medics with a clearing element, distributing kits to non-medical team members so the medic stays free for the casualties that need them · Schools, venues and public facilities pre-positioning kits where a bystander will be the first person on scene.

The casualty marker panel is the part people overlook. In a chaotic scene, casualties end up behind barriers, in corridors and in spaces early responders never enter — marking a treated casualty is how evacuation teams avoid leaving someone behind.
